All right. There's a photo contest for Planet Funk going on in honor of Terry Richardson's work, and although Planet Funk is a really silly store, Terry's campy raunchking legacy is too monumental to let this opportunity pass by.
Which leads me to my question: Is anyone down to be photographed gettin' sexy with some funky planet clothes?! (Or just your own. Either way, it really doesn't matter.)
It'll be good. And at the very least, you'll have sexy, silly pics of yourself to do with them whatever you like (i.e. facebook, myspace, give to your crushmanboyladyfriend? The possibilities are endless.).
And tell me, who doesn't love the way that sounds?

Fact of the Day: northern lights Auroras like the northern lights are caused by the interaction of energetic particles (electrons and protons) from outside the atmosphere with atoms of the upper atmosphere. Such interaction occurs in zones surrounding the Earth's magnetic poles. During periods of intense solar activity, auroras occasionally extend to the middle latitudes; for example, the aurora borealis has been seen as far south as 40 latitude in the United States.
oh, and, apparently the school beetles are losing:

This is the 95th day of the year, with 271 days remaining in 2008.
Fact of the Day: condoms If used properly, condoms have about a four percent failure rate. Unfortunately, many people don't know how to use condoms, so the actual failure rate is more like 12 percent. Both of those percentages can be decreased by also using a water-based spermicide (oil-based spermicides will weaken the latex). But the best way for you to avoid any dangerous situations is to learn to use the condom properly.

Such a sucker for comforts over the works.
This sounds too friendly to the state of being right now to turn it off, though.
We're so close to the enddd. Ughhh.

Now that all this big time college stuff has been happening for everybody who actually applied to a real school, I feel like I should make my acceptance to the school of my choice officially public. Via livejournal.
WELCOME TO SANTA MONICA COLLEGE! Congratulations on your admission to Santa Monica College. You will be joining an academic community focused on helping you meet your educational goals. Our excellent faculty will challenge you intellectually and assist you in preparing to meet your objectives. Whether you are preparing to transfer to a university, preparing for a vocational career, or improving your skills for career advancement, the faculty and staff are prepared to help you realize your dreams.
Not that this is a huge surprise to anyone... This has pretty much been my plan for the past three years... But instead of feeling like somewhat of a failure for being awful at high school, I'm getting excited for what Santa Monica's got to offer.
The thought of other people leaving is also starting to sink in a little more.
Which, in turn, is not so sweet. For me. For them, yes. Yes it is.
And on a bit of a sidenote:
(Dave Davison, yes please.)
